An adorable hero, a likable heroine, a nice family - all the basics for a sweet, simple read. My only complaint is that the obstacles to the romance were not all that dramatic, so it lacked a bit of nervousness for the main couple, and there were a few dated references, but it was an enjoyable story overall. Also, I love vet heroes, and I wish there were more stories about them - there's something lovable about a man who's good with animals.
