Lyrical surrealism, with lovely titles ("And We Are Clutching" is an e.g.). Evocative multi-parted poems, where danger lurks anywhere, as snow in a bathtub: "and ah, to sink/ the porcelain/ breathing me in/ lungs full of ice." Hurt, shopping, gravel, fear and television - this book was published in 1989, but the poems are still fresh today.
