Best-selling author Patrick Morley challenges men to embrace a new perspective based on applying biblical principles to one's vocation and lifestyle in the midst of a world committed to materialistic and relativistic thinking.
Similar to the book that bolstered the ministry that God gave him with "The Man in the Mirror," this book also tackles key concepts about the Christian life. It provides additional advice for leadership and how to impact the culture for Christ within the various spheres God has placed/is placing you.
The first part of the book deals with Mid-life challenges and addresses various philosophical places people will likely find themselves (i.e. existentialism, relativism, syncretism, humanism, etc.).
Then, it has a section about charting a new course and deals with being born again "again," accountability, spiritual disciplines, etc.
The latter half of the book then dives into key doctrines of the Christian faith to help people to think properly; orthodox (proper doctrines), which leads to orthopraxy (proper practice).
I REALLY like the ending that speaks of the 80/20 Christian--it is worth reading to a men's group (any kind of Christian group or group that is taking steps towards Truth), although it can be read to a women's or mixed group as well. It is about 3 pages.
Listened to the 2 cassette abridged version of the book. Nothing really profound in this book. Main point is just get focused on, and dedicated to, your walk with Christ.
