This was an easy to follow book on how to make a myriad of bird gardens with different designs and for different seasons. I docked one star because of the way the plants are numbered in the pictures. I wasn't always able to see the plant very well. I read these books to learn about the plants and the pictures are important to me. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and came away with a number of ideas to try in my own garden. As another reviewer said, the teacup and saucer bird feeder idea is a gem, and not one that I found doing a quick search on the internet. There were other ideas that were similar that came up, but not the same one as in this book, which is the one that I found most darling. I will definitely be giving it a try!

very general basic landscaping for attracting birds. first part of book consists of garden designs, the next part of the book is projects and the third part has lists (and pictures) of plants and birds. best part of this book - detailed instructions for making teacup and saucer bird feeders. i will be doing this for presents for several friends.
