This book does a great job explaining the major theories of counseling. The layout is easy to follow and includes major contributors to each theory, history of the theories, counselor goals, goals of therapy, client experience/expectations, and multicultural considerations. It was comprehensive and very helpful. Furthermore, the summary at the end of each chapter was very effective for quick reference as well as studying.
