This volume comprises the papers presented by distinguished North American and European trauma surgeons at a joint meeting of the Austrian, German and Swiss Associations of trauma surgery and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association of North America which took place in Vienna in May of 1991. It deals with the complex problems that arise in the treatment of fractures of the tibial pilon, talus and calcaneus.
