Basic Structural Behavior

Rate this book
This book uses model structures to demonstrate the way different types of structural elements behave under a given set of circumstances and the way in which the form of the structure influences that behaviour. It enables students to develop intuitive feeling for structural behaviour by observing different forms of structure under load rather than the more abstract approach using mathematical analysis. The approach is basic and elementary, providing a supplementary study to the more traditional approach to teaching structural engineering with the aim of producing an understanding of basic structural concepts.
