This book of essays about the library profession may have been written in 1970, but it's wry, scintillating, sarcastic take on the age old debates in librarianship feels as fresh as if it was written yesterday. "What happened when the information explosion burst on an unsuspecting world? What was the library doing then? Counting overdue books and collecting fines, that's what" (p.25) So glad I found this gem. I'm keeping it.
