After reading several books about Paul Brand, a well-known figure for his work in helping those suffering from leprosy, I was curious to see what perspective this book would offer on doctors who fought the disease. I’d never heard of Stanley Browne before picking up this book, so even just learning about his life and ministry was fascinating. Browne was a dedicated and hard worker, and it was encouraging to hear about his drive to serve the Lord—a challenge to me. Not the best biography I’ve ever read—it was slow in places—but I’m glad I took the time for this book.
