This was a great primer for Ancient Greek art, and it covers periods I'd never really considered before so I ended up learning a lot. The pictures were really big and helpful, but some of the text was just descriptions of the picture (which made it abundantly clear how little we understand about some of these works.) There is also a section devoted to Roman Copies of Greek work, which I appreciated. So, basically, good primer. Not too much in-depth scholarship but a good jumping off point for more research later.
