The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, often referred to as The Guggenheim, is an art museum at 1071 Fifth Avenue between 88th and 89th Streets on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City.

It hosts a permanent collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern and contemporary art.

Peggy Guggenheim bukan seorang pelukis, tetapi beliau adalah pengumpul karya lukisan catan. Nama beliau bukan calang-calang orang pada zaman awal abad ke-20.

Buku ini memuatkan kesemua koleksi karya yang dibeli oleh Peggy. Karya-karya seni ini kebanyakannya dalam aliran seni moden di zaman tersebut. Antara karya penggiat seni yang ada dalam koleksi Peggy adalah Pablo Picasso, iaitu karya The Poet, Lacerba, La Baignade dan The Studio.
