Hate is a strong word, but it doesn't even come close to how he makes me feel.
Colby Carter was a monster. Savage, brutal and evil to the core.
He wasn't always that way. There was a brief time when he was polite, caring and kind. But something dark and twisted crept in and took over, and he claimed me as his victim.
When he skipped town I could finally breathe again. I tried to make something of my life, to find happiness, but Colby didn't want me getting too comfortable.
Five years have passed and now he's back in town, a little too close to home, and I have no doubt my personal hell is about to unfold once again.
Only this time, I don't know if I'm strong enough to survive it.
Lacey Heart is a book and latte lover. Both reading and writing are her passions, lattes are her life source. Offer her either of the above and you'll be friends for life.
Lacey was born and raised in Manchester, U.K and she still resides there today with her amazing friends and beautiful family.
This author seems to really love creating weak females who can’t seem to think with their brains but are controlled by their hormones and main male characters who can’t seem to keep it in their pants! Really unlikeable characters whom I felt no connection to whatsoever.

Oh I do love me some Alphahole in books and that’s exactly what Colby is and I love it!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review
When I stumbled upon the description for this book I knew it would be something I’d want to read and boy, was I right. This book includes everything I love. An alphahole and his prey.
Colby disappeared for 5 year. He upped and left everything behind but now it’s time to come back, for business and things are about to kick off. Colby is an arrogant asshole when it comes to one certain woman. He’s cocky and sure of himself. He knows what he wants and won’t stop until it happens.
Willow is a smart and beautiful woman. Growing up was awful for her but thanks to her best friend and their family she always has a safe place to be until the brother of her best friend and his friend started making her life hell. Fast forward a couple years and Colby being back, things are going to be interesting.
This story had me captivated from the get go, watching the reactions to Colby being back has been fun, he’s an asshole and you gotta love to hate those kind of males in books.
This book doesn’t leave on a cliff hanger but more like a to be continued..I can’t wait to see what book two has in store for these two but I damn well know it’s gonna be interesting!
This is my first read from Lacey Heart and it’s been awesome, I can’t wait to read more in the future.
Okay........... What did I read? Don't get me wrong, I probably would have enjoyed this a lot if it the story hadn't been divided or if from the beginning, we would have known this was part 1 (pretty sure it isn't and the author simply wanted a sequel).
My problem with this is that the first 58% of the book nothing happens--at all. We just get all this information how Colby has been a bully, making Willow's life hard when they were younger, etc etc.
Then they see each other and nothing more happens until the 80% mark, which wasn't even enough. *sighs* I really wanted to enjoy this since I love stories like this one, but it's stupid to have book 1 and book 2 for something that doesn't need it. It builds your expectation for nothing, because NOTHING happens.
Willow is kind of whiney, Colby is closed off and barely there in the book. The two characters I loved were Hadley, who's amazing, and Ryder, whom I still don't know what I see in him, but I just know I loved his appearances in the book.
The other thing I liked was around the 90% mark when Colby and Willow have a really small scene together (finally).
Overall, I wasn't a fan. The execution wasn't there, the character development wasn't there, the romance wasn't there at all. The story was lacking quite a lot.
I devoured this book, jumping into Willows and Colby's twisted deranged games and the unknown reasons why. The author Lacey Heart really knows how to keep you on your toes throwing in some unexpected, mind blowing twists shaking up the plot more and wondering how exactly the characters are going to react.
This book ends making you want more, gripping you to the edge of your seat, and getting addicted to the one and only Colby.
A must read 5 star read.
History has a settle of repeating itself with Willow, escaping from her ex Seb she ends up back to her best friend, but in the house full of memories of all of her past - the good and the bad.
Especially the twisted hard ones of Colby Carter.
"I'm Colby Carter and I make the rules. I call the shots. The world is my playground. If people have a problem with that they can fuck off back to wherever they came from."
Colby Carter controls all 5 years ago he made a decision to leave Redcar and his life to protect everyone close to him, the last thing he expects is on his return to find the main reason he left stood before him.
With unexpected twists, Colby is knocked a level but not for long when he starts to plan how to sort life.
What games has Colby got planned for Willow ahead?
Hate is a strong word, but it doesn't even come close to how I feel about him.

Honestly I got conflicted between four and four and the half star for this book. Finish it in one sitting, Bully Me This makes me look like a panda when going to work for I'm giving it my sleeping time!
It's fast pace. The chemistry between Colby and Willow is sizzling. But there's still so many why need to be answer. Even this point makes me torn apart. Between sitting on the edge full of anticipation and crazy in frustration needing answers.
One thing for sure, this author definitly what she's doing with Bully Me This. It's intensity The fast pace The sizzling chemistry The mystery
I need more from Colby and Willow! My dark soul expect more of these two dark and twisted romance😘😂
This story had me captivated from the get go, watching the reactions to Colby being back has been fun, he’s an a—hole and you gotta love to hate those kind of males in books.

This book had me a bit confused. It has the potential to be a great series but for me, it would have benefited from putting a bit more into this first book so that we could get a better feel for the characters. I found that I was just starting to get into the book and it finished. Not a fan f where this Tiffanie element stands in the book. Look forward to further development in future books.
Literally nothing happens, this should at best have been the opening to a 400 page book not 100 pages of nothing. And where is the bullying? It’s just him saying I want you and she’s hot and ready for it constantly. I don’t think they actually do hate eachother. And oml she’s such a bad friend she’s constantly complaining about her best friend just cuz she’s asked her a simple question.
Whilst i really wanted to love this book, i found that although the writing was good, the story just really frustrated me. He was her best friends brother, and loved to torment her. Then he left and now 5 years after no contact with either her or her sister he's back, accompanied by his slut of a girlfriend. Obviously they have had a past, but we got lots of hints yet no real answers. I couldn't really get any feeling for either character, and dare i say i just didn't like the tiny snippets we learned of Colby. I normally love an ass****, and getting to know their hidden side that redeems them, but i didn't feel anything about him that would capture me. The book is short and a novella, so i am sure more is to come. But my problem is that with it being short, it didn't give me the feels that i needed to become invested and want to know more of their story. I think it had a lot more potential, but in this case unfortunately i ended the book no wiser about their relationship or where it could go, which left me kind of flat.
I really wanted to like this Ive enjoyed the other books by this author, but this one was a little hard for me to get into.
Although, the writing was good, the storyline was a bit confusing and felt like it was little all over the place. I was confused by the relationship between Colby and Willow. There was no heat, no chemistry. I just didn’t see the connection. Then his revenge plot; I’m not sure where that came from.
I know this is only the first part of the story, and not all things will be answered, so I’m really hoping in the next one, she dives in deeper to their backstories, and clears up some confusion and shows us the true connection between Willow and Colby.
This first time reading a book by Lacey Heart. I'm happy to say I wasn't disapppointed. I realized two things as I was reading this book. One: this book is a short fast read and two: the second book is due to come out in beginning of December. So we don't have to wait too long.
This book is part of the build up and it kept me turning the page because you can't wait to see what these people are about. Willow you know she has secrets and you want to find out what they are. Then you bring in Colby, he's tied to Willow's secrets but you don't know how. He's dark, cold and angry. You can tell that these two love to hate each other but their chemistry is undeniable. This read is suspensful and you can't wait to find out how it all ties together.
First book to be read by Lacey Heart. This is only the first so I'm going to give it a chance here, but it didnt capture my attention and there's so much going on I don't know what is what. There's no background to what is going on with these characters until the end. The only person i don't know about its Willow. Lets see how the second book goes
One star at best...will not be looking for the next book. I actually can't believe I kept reading this...skimmed half of it due to it being repetitive. Awful storyline, awful female and male lead character.
This book was ok to start. I feel like I'm missing so much so I hope it comes out in the other books. But it definitely has my attention, well written and ready for more.
Juvenile. Every person in this book has the mental maturity of an emotionally stunted toddler. It was annoying to read and I won't bother with the rest.
First, it was a cliffhanger but not one I want to know more about.
Was so disappointed. I wanted to read a bully book and this was my introduction. Only picked it because it was on a free books post on Facebook. Thankfully it was free and I didn’t waste money on this.
This book kept dancing around “deep secrets” and it was mentioned so often I got sick of hearing it. Either spit it out or don’t mention it every other breath.
The female lead is quite pathetic and not someone I even cared about. How she reacts around him was beyond. She has no backbone, no pride, nothing. So disappointed. I figured she’d hold herself better than she did , but no. Ugh. I know they’re supposed to eventually end up together but come one, make him work for it. This had so much potential and it tanked.
The lead is just an a$$ and I should’ve listened to the bad reviews.
This book also needs A LOT of editing. I don’t think there was a page that I read without at least one error, even one good beta reader would’ve helped. Now I know why it was free
DO NOT RECOMMEND. just walk away, better yet, run.
What even happened in this book? Absolute fuck all.
Willow was plain and boring. Colby... Well I feel like he could be likeable but there just wasn't enough in his chapters to get me there. Hadley was okay but I still didn't feel any connection. Ryder was okay too. But that was it... The couple redeemable characters were just okay, nothing more.
It was just boring, and I'm pissed at how short it was considering NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED. Everything is going to happen in the next book and it ended that way on purpose, but it didn't suck me in enough to buy the next one. I'll just google it.
Definitely not a huge fan. While reading I came across a lot of grammar and spelling errors. Some things didn’t make sense to me because there were added words in sentences or missing words. The theme of this novel seemed like it would be a good one, but the writing style and overall plot was very lacking. The books kept hinting at deep dark secrets but never got around to finding out what they were. The main character, Willow, has to be one of the more annoying characters I’ve ever read. Then Colby, he’s just a jerk with a narcissist complex. I will say that ending this short story on a cliffhanger was a good idea because it makes you want to read the next one.
While Bully Me This aims to deliver a dark, emotional enemies-to-lovers romance, it struggles under the weight of cliché plot points and underdeveloped characters. The bully trope feels exaggerated rather than nuanced, and the emotional connection between the leads often comes off as rushed or unearned. Though the book has potential for tension and drama, the lack of depth and character growth makes it difficult to fully invest in the story. I gave it a four star for the effort and hopefully part two will be better!
so stupid and messy. literally nothing happens and the characters pasts are so vague. Apparently Colby and Willow have a past where he bullied her but we see nothing of that and have no idea what the hell is going on. I feel like I read 5 chapters out of the middle of a book. Please please save yourself some time and don't read this book. I finished it in 30 minutes and I wished I never read it. This is a harsh review but I can't help how this book made me feel.
This story is not what imagine in my head. It really is not a bully book as it is more about intimidation. Willow and Colby's relationship is not the one I am hoping will work out. I am intrigued by Ryder and Jett's argument/fight. I also love the bond between Hadley and Willow. Now, those are friendship goals. This is one of those that real is determined by your personal taste in dark romances.
⭐️ ⭐️.5 I was really waiting for something to happen, and it just…never really did? I’m rounding up to three stars because I did like the minuscule interactions between the main characters, but that didn’t even start until like 60% through the book and then again right at the end. I feel there was also the long unnecessary setting up of a side couple from another book and I could immediately tell this would have absolutely nothing to do with this story so I skipped over that entire chunk.
