This is my go-to book for when I need a clearer explanation of an aircraft system. The pictures have also been quite useful in explaining the components of reciprocating aircraft engines and constant speed propeller systems to students, too. Only dinged it one star because the paper used is pretty flimsy and yellows over time.

Wow! What a book. Lots of pictures, descriptions, and just enough thermodynamics for nerds like me.
