A very good overview of excellent hotels from thirty years ago. It would be interesting to get the author's view of the same hostelries today. Excellent photographs!!

The Thames barge holds the most appeal for me.

Extremely detailed and interesting however very dated having been originally published in 1986, so couldn’t be used as an up to date guide.
