Jack Ensign Addington's Psychogenesis was on the bookstore shelves as a metaphysics book, and it was pretty far from it. A cross between a Bible-based inspirational book and a run-of-the-mill self-help book, Addington quotes Scripture throughout the text and demonstrates how dozens of passages in the Bible can change one's life. Uh, yeah, I learn that in Sunday School, but it's not metaphysics.
Undoubtedly Scripture is the ultimate source in changing one's life, but when you publish a book with a name like this, you're attracting an audience looking for the humanist spin on the topic. It's kinda like a transmission expert picking up a book on a shade tree mechanic's tried and true tricks of the trade. You're looking for something outside of the box, and unfortunately Addington's book sends you directly TO the box and drops you off there.
