My daughter and I read this book together and we both enjoyed it immensely. Even though this is an older collection, the stories are not very violent (like some versions I've read from the past). The illustrations are beautiful and add a lot- especially for younger readers. This is the same fairy tale collection that I read when I was a girl so it was fun to share it with my daughter.
