I especially enjoyed the first couple of chapters on the history of fences and things to consider when designing your own fence. From there it gets into pretty heavy duty guidelines and instructions for building fences, which I am sure will be very helpful to many, but was not my interest.

While the pictures are very good and illustrative of the various points, different pictures of the same fences are used in some cases several times. I would have like to see as many different fences as possible.
