Autobiography focussing on author's experiences as a helicopter pilot in the Canadian arctic and northern parts of the provinces between 1954 and 1974.
An excellent, personal account of helicopter bush flying in northern Canada in the 50's and 60's. What I particularly enjoyed about this book is the author's 'no holds barred' commentary on living conditions , unethical companies, poachers and trophy hunters and other ill-sorted humanity. What emerges from his commentary is Corley-Smith's strong sense of justice and distaste for the unscrupulous. Too many memoirs and reminiscences just gloss over these concerns and issues . Should be required reading for company executives who issue unrealistic mandates for workers in the field.
