Summary: Written in 2000, in some case, the author should know better. Although written by an MD and having quite a bit of great info, it also has a bunch of stuff that I think is just bad as well.
The Good: Yes Allergies and Candida are problems that can cause a host of disfunction in the body. Neither is well understood by most medical professionals, even those that focus on the subject. In that regard, I love P. 71 which lists all the causes of Candida. Similarly, I like that this MD at least tries to describe the body in ways that make sense to me, i.e. the idea that systems function together.
The Bad: The ideas he has on Dyslexia are just wrong. Sorry. Too much other work on this in other areas and that work would have been available at the writing of this book. I know the author means well, but quite frankly, given you're an MD it's not so great. Had to remove at least a star for that.
The UGLY: Some of the ideas on balance as a way of solution... I mean, also wrong. Some of the movements have a whole lot more to do with whether you have leg muscle development than some of the symptoms discussed. That would have also been known in 2000, when this book was written. It's just ugly.
Largely speaking, the books starts off strong and then gets significantly worse as it creates solutions that are so incorrect as to almost be offensive if this is something you're legitimately suffering with. Makes me sad. If he would have just stuck to Candida, which is EXTREMELY misunderstood and I recall in 2000 resulted in a lot of women suffering women's issues related to taking antibiotics in a vicious cycle, then I would have applauded it. But ... and possibly because this is written by 2 dudes.. they didn't know what they were really saying as relates to that.
