This Korean novella leaves many questions unanswered until the very end. I felt like I was grasping for understanding like the fishermen searching for the elusive Iyo Island itself. In the end, I found the story to be a touching tale of a generation lost to war, the formative experiences of childhood friendship, and the power of collective dreams.
