This book compiles interviews from over 30 years ago with various women writers in different genres, and it's still very much relevant and timely. Very inspiring to hear from women who paved the way for future writers. Such a beautiful idea!

The renowned authors in volume 2 expressed themselves with directness and conciseness. I recall the first volume contained esoteric statements. I am aware that more than five authors have died. It saddens me that Bebe Moore Campbell wanted so much for her daughter (and unless there's been a quiet change), Maia Campbell still suffers mightily. I pray this situation reverses.

I see that brilliance is often simplicity.
