This was most diverting. Kettles switching themselves on and cups swinging on hooks by themselves *gibbers in terror*. It's alway interesting to read of local places where spooky events have happened, these are presented in an entirely mundane way which makes them seem silly, but I'm sure the witnesses were genuinely scared. Could work as inspiration for ghost stories, although the kettle still amuses me.
