This is a good intro book, I thought. It was simple in structure and not too heavy on details.

This book really doesn't teach anything new about shamanism. It gives some nice ideas, which are very New Age psychology, for journey topics, and that's about it. It's very thin, with too many records her own journeys, and had very little to offer about hunter-gatherers.
