Berkeley, 1983; B.S.E., Computer Engineering, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, 1981) is Gene M. Amdahl & John P. Morgridge Professor Emeritus of Computer Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Hill received the ACM–IEEE CS Eckert-Mauchly Award in 2019 for seminal contributions to the fields of cache memories, memory consistency models, transactional memory, and simulation.
