Temples, Tithes, and Taxes analyzes what can be known about the economic role of the Jerusalem temple from an analysis of the late Assyrian and Babylonian temples and the economic transactions therein. This is an excellent book that helps me understand the socio-economic conditions that were normative when the Bible was codified. I have no criticisms of the book. It is readable and accessible... an excellent resource for the serious student.

Really intersting book for whoever wants to learn more about the economic aspect of temples in Ancient Israel.
