The book consists of two parts: in the first Karim covers topics from the Paradise of Eden to Crucifixion and Golgotha, and in the second he begins with Golgotha and ends in Paradise. He covers topics such as the Cross and the Patriarchs of the Old Testament, the Prophets, and Nature. Karim also discusses the usage of Cross symbolism as historical, sacramental and eschatological events. Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim is the Archbishop Patriarchal Vicar of the Syriac Orthodox Church in the Eastern United States. He is very active in the Ecumenical Movement and represented his Church in various international meetings.
