I had hoped to learn about Stanford's approach to the Gospel and not just a framework. I would like to better understand how to interact with the different worldviews and religions than he provides tips for. He gives kind of a rush sales job. Or the bootcamp drill sergeant approach. Stanford repeatedly advises the one presenting the plan of salvation not to take too much time on questions but keep moving to the next point. His advice is wise within reason, depending on the person you're speaking with. But why should you follow this Jesus? Why is it worth giving up your own selfishness and comfort? Why should we look and long for heaven? John Piper explains it better. Also check out Lifeway's "3 Circles" framework: I think you can start a much deeper conversation with that.
He's also more than a generation distant from me, so that probably explains his style.
