I’m a big fan of the King Kong movie, and I absolutely love Kong as a character. The jungle and Skull Island atmosphere always fascinate me, and I find the film’s story deeply emotional and powerful. The novel started off really well, it captured the adventure and mood of the film perfectly, especially the scenes in the jungle. It stayed mostly faithful to the original story, with only a few minor differences, However, my main issue was with the final act, Once Kong reached New York, the pacing felt extremely rushed, What should have taken around 10 pages was crammed into just 3!! That made the ending feel weaker compared to the rest of the book. **************************************** Verdict (7/10)
