"Place--where I live and the situation I live in--is integral to that search for balance. Place is a mirror telling me where the pendulum swinging in my soul is at any given time. This is not to say that one place is better than another, but one place, and my level of settledness there, may be more favorable to personal growth than another. Asking "Is this where I want ultimately to be?" tells me if I'm there out of preference or need, love or expediency, livelihood or leisure."
