Red Wine Moan

Rate this book
The heroine of these tales takes no prisoners in the swampy, mysterious soup of New Orleans's French Quarter. Seven short stories and the title novella portray the loneliness and longing that fill the humid nights of this dank historic part of the city. Haunted by memories of love and tenderness, the sleepless people prowl the deserted night streets, searching for companionship and a new dawn.

Unlike Angel with a Criminal Kiss, Red Wine Moan is bittersweet...to a fault at times. The novella is a whirlwind of self-absorbtion and depression, the classical tale of unrequited love. The short stories are not on par with Angel with a Criminal Kiss; sort of throwaways in comparison.
