I had read all but the last two stories in this compilation and reviewed them separately. Lady Catherine Impedes and Caroline's Censure were new stories for me and I was able to quickly read them today.
Lady Catherine Impedes: A Pride & Prejudice Novella Lady Catherine Impedes is more a story about her daughter, Anne, and how she has been coddled and allowed to run amuck when she does not have her way. "Fix it!" is her demand when her mother informs her that Darcy has married. We find two different schemes playing out to 'undo' Darcy's marriage to Elizabeth. (A certain cleric's nature is a disgusting surprise.)
Caroline's Censure Caroline's Censure brings this shrew back into the picture from where she had been sent by her brother. She has left her aunt's household without a word to either her aunt...or a man to whom she has now a connection but who also refuses to take the event without having a say in the matter. I do like his take on why Caroline behaved the way in which she did.
I enjoyed reading this "end" of this series as it was available on KU.
5 books all for free on Kindle Unlimited. Great way to have 5 small stories that are not perfect but are easy to read and flow well . I would put them at the young adult level of style. Pleasant light reading.
First compilation, Darcy and Elizabeth are arranged to marry. Mr. Darcy (elder) is alive and he helps to save Elizabeth. Mrs. Bennet is worse, but Wickham and Lady Catherine get put back in place. Enjoyed reading all they went through. Second compilation, Darcy's marriage Series, in here Darcy courts Elizabeth, becomes engagement then marry her. Anne is horrible, Mr. Collins is unbelievable, but Caroline takes the cake. Love these three books. Highly recommended
I really liked that the stories continued with two books for each tale. I like longer stories that have more details and cover years. Each is a variation of the story with the reasons for an earlier wedding as different from the original. AND there's no " tolerable " statement that caused all the miscommunication and angst!
