A nice picture of farming in the 1900's and the changes that occurred. Interesting story of a family farm in Vermont. I have some problems with the general overview of how the family and community interconnect with the farm and the agricultural life.
An interesting mix of the author's view of farming and the family farm and the the more general overview of agriculture in society.
