An anthology dealing with Greenland’s enigmatic Constable David Maratse

Christoffer Petersen is an excellent writer. This is an anthology of short stories set in Greenland about the brave, capable, and enigmatic Constable David Maratse. These are well plotted stories with vivid three dimensional characters. Petersen also uses the vast background of Greenland and its culture as key characters. The result is stories that can’t happen just anywhere. They are uniquely Greenlandic. Qujanaq, Mr. Petersen!

Something for Everyone

These stories are absolutely fabulous! The stories are steeped in the traditions, legends and climate of this very northern region of the world. The aurhor fits this in nicely with interesting plot lines, a bit of danger and intrique, and characters that grow on you. Something for everyone. Highly recommend this set of novellas!

Short stories in a faraway land

With the setting of Greenland, the cold winds of these stories seem to blow off of the pages until the reader is shivering as well. Interesting characters too, so you’re captivated by the scenery and the people.

What can I say? I loved it. Fall into the icy Greenlandic world full of mystery, intrigue, danger and the quiet, determined, loyal, honest, driven Constable David Maratse.

The Maratse series has been really interesting but the omnibus is too repetitive in placed. The inhospitable climate, the erudite actions of the main characters have become predictable.
