Long legs, blonde hair, and a smile that could melt a man’s heart. She’s my roommate. She’s a grad student, like me. And she’s trans. I’ve been assigned to live with Kelly for my first year of graduate studies. The two of us couldn’t be more different - in upbringing, in majors, and in lifestyle. Surely there’s been some mistake, but… Can we turn this strange situation into something incredible? Or will we end up hurting each other in the process? They say you should never get involved with your roommate. They never said she’d be the girl of my dreams.
OK, first you have to understand I come to books with a kind of a unique point of view, I'm a 71 yr old lady who had her gender correction surgery almost 50 yrs ago.
It has been such a joy reading Sally's stories over the last yr or 2 ... and now this heart wrenching, tear dripping romance ... I loved it! I just love keeping the good people at Puffs & Kleenex employed making me tissues to soop up my tears.
When I first started reading Sally Laces' stories I thought she was just another writer of moderately good literary porn ... but boy did she break out her emotional depth in this novella length piece.
If you're like me and love a good bit of tension before your happy ending you'll absolutely love this book. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION !
Some authors have the ability to catch your attention and to hold onto it without getting bored in the minutia and losing sight of the story . This is a good example of that ability. A well-written and very interesting story that was a pleasure to read although I will have to admit I was sorry to see it end.
Not the first of Sally Laces books that I've read and neither the last and for good reason... You tend to stick with good so authors.
We have here a love story that includes a transgender character and the unique problems that brings. We are treated to a very well written book that rises above the majority of trans romance stories. Not only is this a great tale but it shows an attention to detail that too many books in the genre lack. A good proofreader and a careful editor set Sally Laces offering apart from the rest. Read this book!
First story that I have read that talks about some of the issues of being transgender. The fear of being found out and that of being used by males just for the sex. How hard it is to trust.
I absolutely loved this story it was so wonderful it had it all the big ups and the down of the break up to the happily ever after. Fantastic hope for more of the same. Lol
I was so happy reading this story. At first I thought he jumped the gun to soon and wondered he did not call the housing people because they are slow and never forget like they came back around. They made some very happy friends too.
