Necrovoid - You never truly leave the game.
Ian Woodhead is just past the age of forty. He lives in the north of England and is married to a wonderful woman. He has forgotten how many children he has. He had been writing for nearly twenty years but has only just gained the confidence to start showing his work. Ian finds it a little creepy writing about himself in the third person.
I really enjoyed this one. I have been reading so many series lately that it was nice to run across a stand-alone novel.
The action picks up right away and doesn’t stop throughout the story. There were times while reading where I could actually feel my heart beat increase. The action parts and descriptions are very well written.
This is definitely Gamelit and is a nice addition to the genre. For those of you who are looking for the heavy stat filled side of things or game like character progression (LitRPG) this one probably wouldn’t appeal to you as much. That being said, it is definitely a fun read.
It took me a little bit to get invested into the MCs Jordan and Jenny (this could be because I prefer the action scenes), but once I did I was definitely rooting for them.
If you are looking for a quick, solid, Gamelit read I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.
This has to be one of the most confusing books that I have ever read. The story jumped around a lot and the poor grammar, missing words, and misspelt words made it a struggle to finish. I wonder if anyone proofread it prior to publication.
