Intentional Youth Ministry: Going beyond impression to impact

Rate this book
You have the heart to reach young people for Christ and help them reach their full God-given potential. But what
if having an energetic youth meeting isn’t enough? What if kids are showing up, but their lives are not being changed? What if the way we’ve been doing youth ministry for the last few decades has been missing the mark?
If you are not content with the status quo – if you have a hunger to have more impact, this book is for you.
Intentional Youth Ministry doesn’t just identify what’s broken or point out the things that aren’t working. You will gain practical insight that will help you increase your effectiveness. What if you could reach more students than ever before? What if you could go from impression to impact by simply being more intentional?

This has some valuable advice but also a lot of advice that I think is frankly bad or unhelpful with youth ministry. This book also basically operates on the principle and attitude of, "Only these strategies that I use lead to effective youth ministry and others don't work". Midst of the examples the book uses for teaching series are either frankly terrible or problematic. Perhaps this pastor doesn't wish to show his stronger material with his examples, but no matter the reason, they are not really helpful. This is a simple read with good intentions but ultimately lacks a lot of nuance and depth.

This was a very informative book and includes tips to help and be better. I recommend to anyone in youth ministry but can also be used for the overall structure of church.

AMAZING READ

Very good read! Easy to follow and learn from. Really challenges the reader to think critically of their ministry and evaluate their leadership. I will always be thinking of intentional ways to reach the next generation thanks to this book 🙌🏻
