Photographing the L.A. Art Scene 1955-1975

Rate this book
The vibrant history of the seminal L.A. art scene comes alive in this book that marries anecdotal asides by larger-than-life personalities with photographs of artists, dealers, collectors, and friends, at work and play. Candid snapshots, photo-booth strips, and formal portraits reveal a sense of camaraderie and chronicle the emergence of Los Angeles as an important center of contemporary art.

Essential group of images regarding Art-Life in Los Angeles. This book for me is almost a family photo album. Must have for all the budding art historians out there.
