Additionally, the eBook combines both personal experience of managing diabetes, with knowledge from primary bioengineering research and scientific literature.
The author, Stewart McLennan (BEng, MSc, DIC) is a Bioengineering researcher and a sufferer of Type 1 Diabetes. After immersing in the literature surrounding diabetes to find the best solutions for tackling it, Stewart learnt as much as he could about diabetes management and continually sought ways to improve his control. To this day, his desire to improve his situation remains, which over time has proven very useful in terms of negating the effects of the disease. At present, Stewart is a member of a research team at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, looking into computational simulations of medical procedure and implant design relating to a number of bodily ailments, one of which being diabetes.
