Cinderella's fairy godmother produces a dress and glass slippers to wear to the royal ball after Cinderella's mean stepmother and stepsisters tell her she can't go
I don't know if this is the exact book I read, but it was the closest to Toby Bluth's Cinderella I could find. This was the classic story of Cinderella, but yet one of my favorite versions of the tale. I love it because it gives a tad more insight into the thoughts of the prince, and he recognizes her before even trying the slipper. Also the artwork is beautiful.
