This is a heartfelt memoir written by Greg Drost with deep passion. He digs into the events and relationships that have helped shape him to become the father, the teacher, the friend, the mentor that he is today. It takes courage to face some of difficult moments of being in a family, to maintain the relationships through the angst, and to come away from it with respect and the resilience to build even stronger relationships.

I'm not usually into memoirs but this book spoke to me from the very first page; How did any of us get to this point in life? It really is a series of choices, decisions and reactions to the others around you. Greg has a great sense of humor and a true, relatable story. I laughed, I cried, I felt connected to this guy who's life, albeit very different, felt very parallel to my own.

Eleven Dollars and a Half a Tank of Gas was breath of fresh air. My heart goes out to this young man for his honesty, strength and courage in the writing of this memoir. You feel an immediate connection to the book. It was compelling and heartfelt. It made you laugh and cry, hoping that with every curve life threw, in the end everything would work out. I cheer for Drost in his accomplishment.

Finish but when I did read i Couldn’t stop until I finished the whole chapter . I would highly recommend people to read this .
