The second entry in the zany, heartwarming Janie Chronicles finds Janie O’Connelly questioning her sanity. But what else is new?

Janie is offered the job of a lifetime painting the Callaghan Castle and Distillery in Ireland.

When she and Sarra “Fitz” Fitzpatrick move into the amazing 300-year-old castle, they think it’s a dream come true. But when things start disappearing and stories don’t add up, Janie and Fitz must use their less-than-impressive sleuthing skills to root out the culprit.

Soon, they wind up in odd predicaments and secret passageways that offer more questions than answers. Turns out batshit crazy is universal.

This is a Romantic Comedy with a little bit of Magical Realism, and this is the second book in the Janie Chronicles series. I have to say the cover of this book had me wanting more witchy stuff in this book, and there was not really much witchy or magical realism. The first 100 pages I found boring, and I almost DNF this book. I have to say after the first 100 pages the book started to picked up, and I was pulled into the story. I had to find out what was going on. I did find this book making me laugh so much, and I also loved the characters in this book. There was a little mystery going on, and I think I enjoyed the mystery parts more then anything else in the book. I won a kindle edition of this book from a Goodreads Giveaway, but this review is how I feel about the book.

Fun in Ireland

I won this book as a Goodreads giveaway. Jane goes on an adventure in Ireland with her best friend Fitzy They are going to stay with Martin since Jane has been hired to paint a painting of his home. Fitz is there for support as her friend and for her photo shoot as model for the familie’s whiskey. A fun filled romp begins as they navigate the secret passages of the house and try to figure out if a true witch is out to get them. I laughed so hard at times my husband wanted to know what was so funny. Although the ending is a good one, I still don’t know what the future holds for Jane and will have to read the next book to find out.

This is the second of the Janie Chronicles I've read and I enjoyed it as much as the first. Filled with zany familiar characters and odd bits of fun in Ireland, it was a really good continuation of her adventures. I look forward to following her in another book.
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.

First I would like to state that I received this book through the Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity and honor in being able to read this book. When I received this book I began reading it at once. I really enjoy the authors writing style, pulls you into the book from the very beginning and you don't want to put the book down. It kept me on the edge of my seat reading from cover to cover. All the characters are very well portrayed though out. When you are finished you wish you weren't. A most wonderful read and I highly recommend this book

I received this book free through goodreads in exchange for an honest review. While this book grew on me as I read, I felt like it didn't need to be so long. The plot seemed really stretched out only to close with a hasty resolution in the last chapter. In the final 10 pages, it abruptly gave the reader the closure they desperately craved for the final few chapters. I agree with other reviews that there were funny bits and the overall story was engaging. I am interested to see where these central characters go in the next book or two.
