I picked up the book New Jersey as a part of our local library’s summer reading challenge for adults. I would guess that the book was written with elementary students in mind, but I totally enjoyed it as an adult. Although it was published in 2002, all of what I saw is still relevant in 2020. I picked the book because we recently relocated from New Jersey. After living most of our adult lives there, I guess I was a little homesick. The book is packed with facts about and photos of New Jersey. It is a great overview and included some of the states challenges, as well as it’s many good points. I was so impressed, I’m going to see if there is a similar book about Virginia, where we currently live. The book was a quick, but enjoyable trip through our former home state.
