Simone's journey continues in the long-awaited 4th book in the Treasure Huntress series - Buried in the Sky - and it does not disappoint.

The story stays fresh by pairing Simone and her team (Lincoln and April) with a trio of British treasure hunters that may or may not be allies. Together, they work toward the goal of finding three fragments of a meteor that broke up and fell to Earth. These fragments are not from an ordinary celestial object, but an extraordinarily rare (and potentially destructive) form of matter that cannot be allowed to fall into enemy hands - mainly Solomon and his SWANN mercenaries, who are also on the hunt.

To say more is to enter spoiler territory, so I will just say that this book ratchets up the danger to unprecedented levels. Threats are everywhere, and Simone is once again pushed to her absolute limits - perhaps ever further than ever before. Life is never easy for Simone (as it never is for women in the real world), and to see her persevere in spite of challenges that would put anyone else down for good is so inspiring to me, and because of that I want to see her succeed, which makes the moments where she fails hit so hard.

This book has some huge twists and shocking developments, including an ending that will have you craving to read the next book immediately. All told, this is a very strong entry into the Treasure Huntress saga, and a contender for my favorite (at this point, it's tied with Followers of the Storm). The series just keeps getting better, and if the upcoming book 5 is anything like this, I will be counting down the days until its release.

With Buried in the Sky, Simone Cassidy is solidified as the strongest hero in the action-adventure genre, an inspiring figure, an unstoppable force, and a name that could rightfully stand beside Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. This series has its hooks in me, and I simply cannot wait to dive into the rest of it!

good adventure

I like the adventure part, wish there was more on the adventure of discovering things, hate she gets pretty banged up, but she isn’t super human, so makes since. interesting and keeps you hooked!
