Unfortunately, political bias of many of the authors shines through some of the articles. Many of the articles are fine with little bias. Therefore it’s hard to fight through some of that bias to figure out what is truth.

For example, it seems like that the only Italians in North America are in New York City. There is a little of any content that deals with the Midwest. Although, I understand that that a large percentage of Italians move to the tri-state area, the moderators of the text should have done a better job of expanding the geography beyond the tri-state.

Given all this, I still enjoyed the book, but it doesn’t seem nearly as authoritative as La Storia by Mangione and Morreale.
