This is fabulously researched and I will take it with me when travelling around so I can comment knowledgeably on holes in the ground.
But it's hard to describe it as entertaining.
Thoroughly researched and scholarly: buy it if you like slate railways.

A comprehensive and interesting account of the history of the railways which carried slate in Wales. I enjoyed it, but some readers may find it a little dry and academic.
