Buku ilustrasi yang menggunakan media dakwat, pen dan pensel. Isinya memiliki banyak senarai pelukis dari beberapa buah buku lain. Penulis ini ada sediakan juga beberapa kritikan seni di setiap satu ilustrasi. Kritikan-kritikan tersebut termasuklah cara penyampaian, konsep, penggunaan subjek dan mesej tersurat-tersirat.

Ilustrasi yang dicetak dalam buku ini sangat jelas hingga boleh menampakkan garisan halus umpama pensel 3H di dalam ilustrasi tersebut. Memang nampak sangat teliti.

This book was so many lists and the author took the time to critique many of the illustrations mentioned. Had I been looking for a reference book and especially if I needed to find most illustrations from that era, I would probably have given this book the 5 stars.

The illustrations reprinted in this book were lovely.
