More focused on Rowell's trips over the years than his photography, makes you want to pull out a map and see what you can dream up.

Galen Rowell's photography legacy is simply amazing. I've enjoyed (and been inspired through my own work) how he incorporated nature photography with down to earth sensibility. A great book to read for arm chair travelers. Fabulous pictures and inspiring enough to make me want to start climbing again...At least until I read the parts where he's camping out on mountain ledges in blizzards.

Amazing stories to go with the photos. He is missed. Still hard to believe he is gone.
