Little fart is back and this time it's on the baseball field. However, although Timmy likes Little Fart, he doesn't want him hanging around. He's interested in Ange and thinks it won't do to smell like a skunk. Sounds like Timmy's growing up! Anyway, what's a little stinker supposed to do? Little Fart cruises the ballfield and meets Ben, a boy being bullied. He ably steps in and does what he does best, and poof! The bullies are hoisted on their own petard. I think Little Fart has found someone who needs him for new adventures.

More often than not children relate themselves with the characters of a good story. In such circumstances, reading fiction can help them to get inspiration from the characters. These stories often portray real life implications through anecdotes, and as such makes it easier for them to understand the complex aspects of life. Moreover, reading these stories at regular intervals can actually help them to develop a positive outlook towards life, which eventually proves beneficial for good character development.

Timmy and his best friend the Little Fart are back again! The Day My Fart Followed Me To Baseball is book 8 of 8 in the My Little Fart Series. Authors Sam Lawrence and Ben Jackson deliver again with this early reader book that both boys and girls will enjoy.

Ben and Sam write in a wonderful, simple and imaginative style that will guarantee the attention of young minds. If you ever wanted to bond even more with your children or grandchildren, this would be a lovely story to share with them.

It seems to me that this book was created with a lot of love and joy and it’s clear that the authors really enjoy creating such wonderful stories. Thank you for sharing with us the gift that you have obviously worked so hard to refine. We’ll be looking forward to seeing what’s coming next. A well-deserved five stars from us!

Special mention also to Danko Herrera for the wonderful illustrations.

‘Never allow the fear of striking our to keep you from playing the game!’ – Babe Ruth

Australian author Ben Jackson has two homes - Tasmania, Australia (his birth place) and Ontario, Canada where he now lives with his Canadian born wife and co-author Sam Lawrence. He is a tradesman by day and a writer by night. Some of his books include HOW TO SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, DIVORCE RECOVERY: GUIDE F0R PARENTS & COUPLES, LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS, BEING A MAN, and now a new children’s book series (and for adults in need of some humor!) THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME HOME, THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME TO HOCKEY, THE DAY MY FART FOLOWED ME TO SOCCER, THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED SANTA UP THE CHIMNEY, THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME TO THE DENTIST, THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME TO THE ZOO, IT’S NOT EASY BEING A LITTLE FART, and now THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME TO BASEBALL – written with his wife Sam Lawrence.

We first met Timmy and his hilarious ‘companion’ Little Fart in THE DAY MY FART FOLLOWED ME HOME. Now this new little charmer of a book is so well written (and illustrated by the gifted artist Danko Herrera) that though written for children it will probably become an adult favorite pick for bedtime stories for the family. Timmy is excited as he prepares to play baseball – he is the assistant captain of the baseball team – and after his previous experience with Little Fart during hockey season he tells Little Fart not to join him on this first game of the season. Off Timmy goes to play ball, meet his crush, Ange, and plan his day to join Ange for pizza after the game. Meanwhile Little Fart encounters some bullies and manages to drive them away from the victim Benny. All in all a great day for both Timmy and Little Fart?’

Aside from the entertainment and laughs the book presents, there are lessons about bullying, friendships, and yes, family. Another winner for Ben and Sam!

This is the second book I’ve read in this series and must admit it was just as much fun as the other one! Not only did I enjoy another sports-filled adventure, but I appreciated the lesson of standing up to bullies—albeit with humor and smells! I highly recommend this children’s book, even if you don’t have any kids yet:)
