In Wilderness Chase by Lisa Phillips, US marshal Noah Trent will do anything to protect key witness Amy Sanders when the brother she testified against escapes from prison and comes after her in the Rocky Mountains.
And in Jenna Night’s Twin Pursuit, bounty hunter Lauren Dillard must battle the mountain elements and trained killers when she mistakenly tracks her target’s twin brother, Jason Cortez.

Eeep!! Two edge-of-your seat romantic suspense novellas in one book! How exciting is that? Love the manhunt theme that links these two stories. Lots of scope for breath-snatching excitement!
Lisa Phillip's Wilderness Chase is a fast and furious and desperate game of cat and mouse. Tons of action and quite a bit of violence make this novella non-stop hair-raising! This is a kind of reunion romance, since Noah and Amy had developed the beginnings of a relationship when she first entered the witness protection program. Loved the way they worked as a team to defeat the uber bad guys' relentless pursuit. Note to self: never tick off a cartel. :-)
Absolutely love the role reversal in Jenna Night's Twin Pursuit! Lauren is a kick-butt bounty hunter while Jason is a mild mannered rancher. Well, okay, calling this ex-military need-to-be-in-control hero mild-manner might be a bit of a stretch. :-) What a great first meet! Trying to sort out mistaken identity under a hail of bullets! There's a constant nervously-checking-over-your-shoulder vibe to this page-turner of a novella. Night packs a lot into the shorter word count but the story feels complete just the same.
Two compelling romantic suspense novellas by superb authors makes Colorado Manhunt a not-to-be-missed read.
My thanks to Jenna Night for providing me with a copy of this book.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Colorado Manhunt. This is two novellas by two great authors. The stories are well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love them.
Wilderness Chase by Lisa Phillips
Deputy US Marshall Noah Trent is living a nightmare. A transfer of three prisoner has gone terribly wrong. Jeremiah Sanders is loose and he's heading right for his sister. He has sworn he would kill her for testifying against him and causing his son's death. Noah will do anything to protect Amy.
Amy Sanders saw her brother's face on the TV and now Noah is at her house. She hides behind the cabin and waits. Can she trust him? Can she trust anyone?A desperate journey through the Rockies trying to stay one step ahead of her brother.
Twin Pursuit by Jenna Night
Bounty Hunter Lauren Dillard has tracked her target to the mountains. She sees him at a diner and approaches him as he leaves but finds he is the twin brother and not her target after all. He seems to be a target of his brother's enemies.
Jason Cortez is tired of being mistaken for his brother. Now he partners up with Lauren to find his brother and stay ahead of the killers.
They must fight the elements of the mountains as hired killers track them through the Rockies.
These 2 stories tie well together. In the first story Lisa Phillips story Wilderness Chase is full of action and suspense. Noah Trent is trying to get Amy Sanders to safety from her brother. Lisa does a excellent job with the plot. In this short story she gets the suspense and mystery done in a way that you are turning pages to see what is happening. I like that it has a Epilogue for I feel love isn't solved quickly. That she shows them marrying later makes the story more real to me. In Jenna Night's story Twin Pursuit is another fast paced story. She gives us a birds eye view of the life of bounty hunter. We meet Lauren Dillard who is the bounty hunter. Then we meet a twin Jason Cortez, whose twin brother owes a bond. Its neat to read this story. For it it has alot of action which has you turning the pages to see what's happening next. Then there is the mystery as to who is following them. Its a great short story well written with a great plot in it. I like the end for it has a Epilogue that shows time has passed and marriage has happened. To me that is good. Well done Jenna and Jill. J
This is a wonderful double book you get two great stories for the price of one! In the first story, by Lis Phillips, Amy's brother - turned outlaw - escapes from prison and will stop at nothing to find and kill his sister. I can't help but think how awful that would be to testify against your brother even though she did it to protect innocent people, and because it was the right thing to do. Now she is running for her life with her own brother out to kill her! This is a fast paced read as Noah and Amy try to escape in the midst of Colorados Rocky Mountains. The 2nd book, by Jenna Night, has another set of siblings, this time twin brothers. Bounty hunter Lauren finds the wrong twin in her hunt for a bail jumper. Jason then teams up with Lauren to find his brother before he gets killed, only everyone seems to be mistakenly shooting at him! This story takes unexpected twists and turns making it another exciting story. Two excellent stories from two great authors!
In “Wilderness Chase” by Lisa Phillips, Noah Trent has to protect witness Amy Sanders from her brother while putting his personal feelings for her aside.
The second novella, “Twin Pursuit” by Jenna Night, a case of mistaken identity brings bounty hunter, Lauren Dillard, and Jason Cortez together as they hunt for his missing brother.
“Colorado Manhunt” is two action-packed stories in one book and showcase danger and the faith we need to overcome.
Colorado Manhunt was fast paced and full of action. Wilderness Chase involves a cat and mouse game with US Marshal Noah and Amy, who is in the witness protection program, running from the cartel and her brother. I haven't read Jenna Night's books before so she is a new author. Twin Pursuit didn't disappoint me. What would you do if you were a bounty hunter ready to arrest someone only to discover it's his identical brother you're going to arrest? Lauren and Jason must work together to find Matt while dodging bullets from bad guys who mistakes Jason for Matt.
I'm not really a fan of these books that have two stories in them, because by the time I've finished the second story I've forgotten what the first one was about. Any way, Noah and Amy have their work cut out for them trying to get away from Amy's brother but they manage. And then, Jason and Lauren try to find Jason's brother so Amy can arrest him.
Both stories were gripping and made it most difficult to put the book down to get even menial housework done. I am a devout fan of Lisa's work and Jenna made me definitely want more. Thank you for an escape into danger, suspense, dependance upon God and romance.
