Whew child the ghetto! Nova is mentally imprisoned in the mentality of all work and no play. She has so many aspirations of being much more than what catches the eye. Her biggest flaw though, seeing the potential in people that they don’t see in themselves. For the most part, she keeps to herself, besides her sister and best friend Lola. One night Something changed, she embarked on a journey with a hood savage so similar to those in the books she reads, that she expects her story to be similar as well. She forgot the key thing though, just because he was similar to the fictitious characters didn’t make him one of them. Meet Ozzi…Ozzi is that nigga in every way, sense and form if you don’t know him that then you’re not from Chicago! Baby you from the burbs, as he would say. A kilo of chaos has been planted in his streets, leaving him to go through it carefully but where should he start? Snakes are lurking in the grass waiting to take his spot, while the beautiful Nova is ready to claim his heart. Can Ozzi live up to the fictitious expectations placed on him? Or will they fail?Here to take the ride, and grind harder than ever with these two are their gang. Island is Nova’s older sister. She too has some issues she needs to work with, starting with her relationship. Can she make the right decisions to land her where she needs to be? Then you have Lola, the best friend, she just wants to be loved or in love, whatever you call it. Then Last but Not least Cassius, another street nigga with nothing but good intentions determined to shake shit up.

Nova is a thinker and over thinker and does not like change. So for she is not about that life and will see how she continues to handle Ozzi in the streets.

Ozzi is a player player and entertained other ladies until he is “serious” with Nova. Ozzi got a lot going on to come up as a boss and we will see how Nova fits in his plan.

Cass and Lola relationship is moving forward. There is always some drama with baby mama(s) whose just trifling. If I was Cass I would sure do a DNA test of Em just on the bases of her mother alone IJS.

I’m feeling Island (Nova’s sister) and the mystery man she met. I’m sure he’s going to take a part on what goes down in the Chi.

The ending got you wondering and I’m curious.

I have most definitely enjoyed reading this, which is why my review won't be long cause I'm anxious for book 2! Look like Ozzi and Cassius may be in some bs they can't get out of! Author Kennedy this is my 1st time hearing from you and it won't be my last, cause I'm go be looking out for and reading more of your books. I see you don't disappoint and you keep your readers on edge!! Well here I come book 2 🙃

I struggled to finish this story. The female characters were interesting and the plot a solid one. However, I could not connect to any of the characters or the story itself. It could have been from the grammatical errors, lack of structure or poor execution, but this particular story was a miss for me.

OMG!!!! Where do I begin with this must read! So first Ms Keisha seems very suspect to me and how she gave up on her kids after their dad died. So I know it’s more to her. I hope Ozzie and Cassius are okay too. It’s crazy how Ray is Ozzie’s dad and never cared for him. That’s really sad how he’s been working for his dad and the relationship is still distance. I can’t wait to read part 2.

The plot continues to thicken

Nova not playing no games with Ozzi lol. I like Cass and Lola together. I can't help but feel the baby mama coming back with a venegance. I wanna see more with Island and Lucas.

This author didn't disappoint me at all. I like how each couple made each other better. Their love radiated off the pages. I wonder who is the other brother. On to part 2

I can’t wait for part 2, that ending was crazy i wonder who is Ozzzi brother and i hope that they make it out okay. My girl nova is pregnant he need to be there for his child. I’m happy that Island left and went to New York she is going to be good out there. I like Cassius as well he locked my girl down with the quickness. I’m ready for part 2
